#2 Go to a party

College is a stressful, it's okay to let loose sometimes.

I'm pretty sure every college student has heard the 'college is about your education not partying' speech from their parents at one point or another. Yes, college is about your education but it's also about branching out and having a good time.

Learning how to balance a social life with school work is something every college student has to learn how to do. School work is the most important thing, but you need to have some fun too. Go out with your friends, have a few drinks (if you want), dance, laugh, play beer bong.

I know I probably don't have to convince many of you to go out, but for the people who are afraid they will neglect their school work or get in trouble; don't. Two simple words: be responsible. Get your work done before you go out on Friday night or do it Sunday. Don't carry around marked containers of alcohol. Don't wonder off by yourself. Don't drink more than you can handle.

Two parties I suggest every Slippery Rock student should attend are the UVSR Block Party at the beginning of the school year and The Heights Pig Roast at the end of the year. Both are outdoor events and a great time. Go with your friends, I promise you won't regret it.

I am by no means saying you go out every weekend and get blasted, but I am suggesting you go out and have a good time with your friends sometimes.
"A little party never killed nobody."
